wrote a new tune effortlessly, in a day, just guitar, by accident. quick flow is the mark of a track that usually vastly outshines those ones that you labored over for months. awesome now, infuriating later. so it goes. things are quiet. good to have a break from rigaer. the contents of my studio & apartment are now in port & part of me wants it to sink to the bottom of the harbor. what was in those boxes? i have no idea, and i don’t miss any of it. reveling in the simplicity of just guitar. no computer, no plugins, no blinkenlights. this is all you get – six strings and ten fingers – do it. i’m beyond terrible at guitar but the firebird accepts and gives – it reveals more depth when you give more. room to grow. lovely instrument. good tools and you only cry once
